A quick and simple way to reinvent your surroundings is to add stripes. Vertical strips will help your walls appear higher and horizontal stripes will make the room appear more spacious. Painting stripes is a clever decorating technique that brings a
sense of style to any room.
To make a small room appear larger, paint moldings, doors and the like in the same color as the walls. Strongly contrasting colors chop up the space.
To remove pet hair from upholstery, use a pair of rubber gloves and rub the fabric in one direction.
To help keep storm windows from sticking, apply a light coating of Vaseline to the runners. Slide windows up and down to nsure even coating.
Stop soil from leaking out of the bottom of your pots by lining them with unused paper coffee filters before filling them with dirt.
When working with multiple patterns in a room, make sure to vary the scale of the patterns. If you don’t, nothing will stand out.
